About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing emergency response readiness in the Northern Territory. The successful candidate will focus on building sector capability and developing initiatives to ensure effective response during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver capability building activities and initiatives to enhance emergency response readiness
  • Build relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication
  • Conduct training and capacity building programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response initiatives and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise in emergency management or related fields
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture and sensitivity to community needs in the Northern Territory context is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to utilise digital platforms for training delivery and documentation
