Emergency Response Specialist

This position plays a pivotal role in building sector capability and enhancing emergency response readiness in the Northern Territory.
The successful candidate will focus on developing and delivering capability building activities and initiatives, with a strong emphasis on evacuation centre management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for external and internal stakeholders involved in evacuation centre management
- Build the capability of external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective response during emergencies
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to enhance emergency response readiness
- Utilize digital platforms for training delivery and documentation
- Manage time, set priorities, and plan and organize work to meet objectives and budget constraints
- Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in developing and delivering capability building activities and initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and sensitivity to community needs in the Northern Territory context is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work under general direction from senior employees within clear objectives and budget constraints
