The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced leader to take charge of the performance and operations of multiple retail stores and services across NSW, including Western Sydney, South Coast, Regional NSW, and ACT. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring each store achieves sales targets and provides excellent customer service while maintaining operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Profitability
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed area sales targets.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Work closely with Store Managers to optimize sales and profitability.
Financial Management
  • Manage the area budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Analyze financial reports and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Operations
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure stock levels are appropriate and losses are minimized.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
Team Management and Development
  • Recruit, train, and develop Store Managers to build a high-performing team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
Customer Experience
  • Ensure a consistent and superior customer experience across all stores.
  • Address customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Review customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service.
Services Management
  • Oversee the provision of additional services, including car seat installation, personalized appointments, product hire, and cleaning.
  • Ensure key performance metrics are achieved, including volume, revenue, costs, conversion rates, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure all stores comply with health and safety regulations.
About You
  • You have a driver's license and the ability to travel regularly to stores across Western Sydney, South Coast, Regional NSW, and ACT.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in retail management, with a passion for the baby goods industry.
  • You're a natural-born leader with the ability to lead with passion, focus, and empathy, while being proficient in managing and resolving conflicts among staff and customers.
  • You will have extensive retail operations experience, with expertise in implementing sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets.
  • You're customer-focused and committed to providing exceptional customer service and improving the overall customer experience.
  • You have strong financial acumen with prior experience in developing and managing budgets to meet financial goals.
  • You have great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • You're a strategic thinker, with a strong understanding and awareness of the market.
  • You're a problem solver, with the ability to find innovative solutions to an array of challenges.
  • You have a great ability to manage time and manage multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously.
