About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our team at TAL. As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will play a critical role in driving business outcomes through strategic people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leaders and people managers to identify and address people-related insights and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic people priorities as part of the company's operating plan.
  • Build trusted relationships with business unit partners to ensure people programs and activities are respected, valued, and drive business outcomes.
  • Support the business in delivering strategic change initiatives, including structural and cultural change programs.
  • Leverage the technical competence of colleagues in the People and Culture team to deliver best-in-class people solutions.
  • Plan and communicate strategic, tactical, and business-as-usual people activities to ensure business engagement and mitigate disruption.
  • Deliver annual events, including remuneration review, performance management, talent and succession management, and development planning.
  • Complete ongoing reviews of interdependencies between performance and talent management strategies and translate these into actions at a macro and micro level.
  • Build and promote a team culture of compliance and risk management awareness and appreciation within the People & Culture team.
  • Work with the People and Culture Consulting team to drive and deliver appropriate ER/IR outcomes in partnership with the business.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience partnering with executives and senior business leaders to deliver on business priorities.
  • Proven ability partnering and supporting large-scale business areas with high-volume frontline teams.
  • Significant experience in managing people-related change programs, including structural and cultural change programs.
  • Proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with key partners, sound consulting, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the Insurance Industry/Financial Services, desired.
