Job Overview

The National Manager Retail Property is responsible for leading a team to ensure the execution of a claims management strategy across high exposure retail property claims.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a nationally consistent framework for delivering claims management services for high exposure retail property general insurance claims.
  • Design and implement strategic plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of claims management services, resulting in improved customer outcomes.
  • Take complete operational and budgetary accountability for managing large and complex property claims from notification to settlement.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with partners, including brokers, loss adjusters, and legal advisors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team by setting strategic direction and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years' experience in claims management and people leadership roles within a complex matrixed general insurance organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance claims industry and current technology and management trends.
  • Able to identify and explore business insights and trends to drive operational improvement, growth, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Capable of understanding market requirements to identify and pursue business development opportunities that contribute to organizational profitability.
