">We are seeking an experienced Flooding and Hydrology Engineer to join our Brisbane office. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, assessing flood risk, and providing innovative solutions for flood management across various sectors.
">Key responsibilities

- Conducting technical project work across a range of projects, including supporting multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.">
- Assisting in conducting flood risk assessments and analysing flood behaviour to inform planning approvals and infrastructure design.">
- Developing and interpreting flood model results and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.">
Requirements
">- ">
- A degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.">
- More than 3 years' experience in flood assessments, hydrology and hydraulic modelling in consulting practices in Australia (QLD preferred).">
- A skilled modeller with the ability to develop and interpret hydrology and hydraulic models.">
- Understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019, regional and local procedures.">
- An understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages, such as RORB, URBS, WBNM, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and their advantages and limitations.">
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to produce clear and meaningful reporting for communicating technical outcomes, presentations and present at client, stakeholder and community meetings.">
