Visionary Urban Planner Role

The City is seeking an experienced Lead City Designer to shape the vision and planning of the public realm. This role involves prioritizing capital works upgrades, managing public realm projects, and conducting feasibility studies to guide city policies and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and specialist advice to the urban design team.
  • Set performance objectives for monitoring and reviewing staff performance.
  • Contribute to developing a benchmark for excellence in service within Local Government and private industry.
  • Coordinate and manage high-complexity projects, providing leadership and development to multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes, practices, and statutory requirements related to urban design projects.
