Role Description

  • The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide technical expertise during the detailed engineering of energy storage and solar energy projects to meet project objectives, client requirements, and regulatory standards.

This involves ensuring the safe integration of the electrical system into final project designs, emphasizing technical, safety, and quality considerations while optimizing project schedule and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise during detailed engineering of energy storage and solar energy projects.
  • Ensure safe integration of electrical system into final project designs.
  • Lead and manage technical review and verification of electrical design documentation.
  • Certify internally produced documentation according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review technical documentation from suppliers or third parties.
  • Provide and participate in evaluation of technical proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on project phases.
  • Ensure design conformity to safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
  • Participate in definition and design of electrical system for energy storage and PV projects.
  • Promote project technical solutions to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.

Requirements

  • An Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree.
  • Chartered Engineer with RPEng or similar.
  • 5-7 years' experience.
  • Availability to travel for site visits and meetings with clients and suppliers.
  • AutoCAD skills at an intermediate level.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with different engineering teams in Australia and Spain to optimize project outcomes.
