Job Overview

A senior leadership position at Dymocks, as a Store Manager, is now available. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of passionate and knowledgeable professionals in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

About the Role

This Store Manager will be responsible for achieving store sales budgets, managing inventory, and developing effective rostering strategies. They will also provide ongoing coaching and support to employees on how to best achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Performance: Achieve store sales budgets, Booklover sign up targets, add-on sales targets, and build a culture of sales performance within the store.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, including stock ordering, returns, and close management of aged stock to achieve balance between sales and service requirements and financial constraints.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead the team by demonstrating and embodying highly developed sales skills and leadership behaviours, provide training and development opportunities to support achievement of objectives and Store succession plan.
  • Store Operations: Conduct regular store management meetings to provide direction, receive feedback, and maintain a well-informed team, monitor and maintain company-mandated processes and procedures throughout the store.
Requirements
  • Experience in retail management with a proven track record of sales growth and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach employees.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
