Role Description

We are seeking a recent graduate with an interest in contaminated land to join our team on a casual basis.

The role involves conducting fieldwork including collecting soil, water and ground gas samples from sites across Melbourne and regional VIC. This will involve working outdoors and potentially travelling away from home for short periods for field assessments.

In addition to fieldwork, the role also requires preparing contaminated land technical reports including data management and GIS tools. These reports will provide valuable insights into contaminated land issues and inform decision-making processes.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to support a variety of multi-disciplinary projects and collaborate with other teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fieldwork: Conducting site visits, collecting and analysing environmental samples, and recording data using various equipment and software.
  • Report Preparation: Preparing high-quality technical reports detailing contaminated land issues and proposing solutions.
  • Project Support: Providing assistance to various multi-disciplinary projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Tertiary education in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology.
  • Early career experience working within the contaminated land industry (highly regarded).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • A current VIC driver's license and capacity to work outdoors.
