Job Title: Strategic Financial Advisor

The Finance Business Partner will provide critical financial support and solutions to the Energy services line. Reporting into the Business Finance Manager, the role requires a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities to deliver value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month End Reporting: The successful candidate will assist in providing month end reporting requirements that meet business needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of key metrics.
  • Revenue and Cost Accruals: The Finance Business Partner will process monthly revenue and cost accruals, reconciling where necessary and providing revenue summaries.
  • Analysis and Commentary: Review and analyse business results, providing commentary on variances to budget/forecast/trends.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key productivity drivers and risk factors, enabling them to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective solutions.

  • Customer Service: Provide high levels of customer service to Operations teams and guidance to administrative teams of their business areas.
  • Tender Submissions: Contribute to the financial aspect of tender submissions managed by Commercial/Operational teams.
  • Capex Requests: Support the business in submitting individual capex requests (financial returns).

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with project teams to establish cost code budgets in Jobpac and undertake ad hoc tasks/projects as required.

Group Budgets / Forecasts:
  • Annual Business Unit Budgets: Deliver annual business unit budgets and maintain forecasting models through consultation with the business.
  • Capex-Build Spend Forecasting: Call-out deviations from plan in capex-build spend forecasting and actuals reporting (materials and labour).
