About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's most prominent property developers as a Property Accountant. The company is launching into an innovative venture of Build-to-Rent and seeks a motivated individual to be part of their new journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial and project accounting support, manage P&L, budgeting, and bank account management at an asset level.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, and ensure timely reconciliations.
  • Prepare month-end reporting, including all necessary GL reconciliations.
  • Accurately lodge BAS and assist with compliance of regulatory and financier accounting requirements.
  • Support Portfolio reporting to the board.
  • Review leases, targeted rents, building efficiency, insurance, and general commercial reviews of assets and portfolio.
  • Drive the go-live of Yardi, implement Chart of Accounts, standardise reporting templates, and finance processes across the business.
Requirements
  • Hold a CPA or CA qualification or be working towards it.
  • Have 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to property management.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of general tax implications of BTR – GST, land tax, etc.
  • Show ambition, self-motivation, and ability to evolve and grow with the business.
  • Possess clear and articulate communication skills, along with the ability to distil complex financial information succinctly.
Estimated Salary: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum
