About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Animal Technician to join our team at the Monash Animal Research Platform. As an Animal Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Faculty's research efforts and ensuring the well-being of diverse animal species.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the care and maintenance of laboratory animals
  • Perform general, technical and medical procedures under the frameworks of established policies
  • Collaborate with researchers and other team members to ensure the success of research projects
  • Develop and maintain protocols for animal husbandry and welfare

Requirements

  • Certificate level qualification or equivalent combination of relevant experience or education and training
  • Willingness to undertake training in relevant technical qualifications and skills
  • Love for animals and collaborative team-oriented work ethic
