About Our Work in Cabinet and Parliamentary Services:
Our team delivers secretariat services for high-level meetings, strategic advice, briefing support, and guidance to the Premier and Director-General on cabinet, community cabinet/ regional visits, and parliamentary matters.
The Role of a Highly Skilled Coordinator
We seek an experienced professional to lead and advise on cabinet processes and procedures. This includes preparation and distribution of submissions, working collaboratively with stakeholders across government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage cabinet and/or cabinet committee material across government, ensuring compliance with departmental and statutory security provisions.
- Negotiate outcomes and develop effective client and business relationships across government to ensure efficient distribution and processing of cabinet and/or cabinet committee related documentation.
- Provide expert advice on protocols, conventions, and guidelines that underpin cabinet and/or cabinet committee support processes.
- Coordinate responses to requests for release of official cabinet and/or cabinet committee records in accordance with Cabinet protocols and legislative requirements.
- Monitor effectiveness of cabinet and/or cabinet committee processes, research, develop, and implement system changes to maintain and improve service performance.
