As a senior professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team on high-level matters related to Cabinet and Parliament. Your expertise will be sought by senior management, including the Director-General and Minister, as you drive critical initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage key materials for Cabinet and Parliament, ensuring timely and accurate information flow between stakeholders.
  • Deliver expert advice and support to ensure seamless services are provided on time, at high quality, and meeting senior stakeholders' expectations.
  • Manage, develop, and coach team members to enhance their capacity and capability in delivering expert advice and services across the Department.
  • Nurture strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate improvements in coordination and implementation of processes.
  • Foster an efficient client-focused workflow by forward planning and prioritizing Cabinet and legislative programs.
  • Coordinate preparation of correspondence and material for the Director General and Minister, ensuring requirements are met for Cabinet and legislation programs.
  • Review and critically evaluate submissions, briefing notes, memoranda, and legislative material to ensure quality, relevance, and appropriateness.
  • Develop and maintain corporate policies and procedures for handling and storing confidential materials.
  • Promote an accountable, fair, and safe work environment through management practices and policies.
