ABOUT US

Cabinet and Parliamentary Services provides secretariat services for Cabinet and Cabinet Committee meetings; high level advice, briefing services and support to the Premier and the Director-General on Cabinet, Community Cabinet/regional visits and parliamentary matters; CLLO support to the Premier, Director-General and DPC; and coordinates the operational arrangements for the delivery of the Government's Regional and Community Cabinet program.

THE ROLE

As the Assistant Cabinet Coordinator, you will provide direction and guidance on Cabinet processes and procedures to ensure that a high standard of support services is provided to the Premier, Cabinet, Director-General and the Cabinet Secretary.

You will assist in the management of the secretariat services for Cabinet, including preparation and distribution processes for submissions and work in partnership with stakeholders across government.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing cabinet and/or cabinet committee material across government, ensuring compliance with departmental and statutory security provisions.
- Negotiate outcomes and develop and maintain effective client and business relationships across government to ensure the efficient distribution and processing of cabinet and/or cabinet committee related documentation.
- Provide expert advice across government on the protocols, conventions and guidelines that underpin the operation of cabinet and/or cabinet committee support processes.
- Coordinate responses to requests for release of official cabinet and/or cabinet committee records in accordance with Cabinet protocols and legislative requirements.
- Monitor effectiveness of cabinet and/or cabinet committee processes, and research, develop and implement system changes that will maintain and improve service performance.
