Urban Futures Team

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join our Urban Futures team within the Planning Directorate.

Our team plays a key role in shaping how the Shire grows, moves and responds to environmental and community needs.

About The Role

As our Business Support Officer, you will be the backbone of the team - keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You will contribute directly to vital projects in strategic planning, transport integration, environmental policy, public domain planning and planning agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide key business and administrative support to the Urban Futures team and Senior Manager
  • Manage financial administration, grants and procurement tasks
  • Assist with project coordination and day-to-day operations
  • Handle communications with stakeholders professionally
  • Support Council and executive reporting requirements
  • Drive business improvement initiatives and ensure smooth workflows

Requirements

We seek an organised and proactive individual with a passion for urban development and sustainability.

  • Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant area or equivalent extensive experience
  • Class C Drivers License
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
