Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Control Manager. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality eggs from our Grading Floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to legislation, including Safe-Food Queensland, SQF, HACCP, and Food Standards Australia.
  • Develop and implement robust testing, monitoring, and recording procedures to uphold McLean Farms' internal quality standards.
  • Prioritize alignment with customer quality standards and oversee the development of extensive testing procedures.
  • Conduct investigations, root cause analyses, and implement Corrective Actions (CARs) in response to customer complaints.
  • Communicate and update relevant stakeholders on quality control issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Quality Management, or related).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or management role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth understanding of legislative requirements, including Safe-Food Queensland, SQF, HACCP, and Food Standards Australia.
  • Familiarity with quality control protocols, documentation, and traceability practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
