About the Role:

McLean Farms, a diversified family-owned agri-business, is seeking a dedicated poultry worker to join our team. This role is responsible for effectively utilising resources to supply high-quality point of lay pullets.

Daily Duties:

  • Conduct feed, water, and light checks, including general maintenance to equipment.
  • Ensure bird comfort through environmental checks.
  • Inspect bird welfare and provide necessary care.
  • Train chicks in the aviary system.
  • Perform general cleaning and servicing of sheds and equipment.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Local residence or willingness to relocate to the area is highly regarded.
  • Weekend and call-out work may be required.
  • Adherence to animal welfare guidelines and regulations is essential.
  • Previous experience in the poultry industry is beneficial but not essential.
  • A valid drivers' licence is required.
  • Good organisational and time management skills are necessary.
