About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team at McLean Farms.

This is a pivotal role that will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality eggs from our Grading Floor.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation, including Safe-Food Queensland, SQF, HACCP, and Food Standards Australia.
  • Quality Control: Uphold McLean Farms' internal quality standards and practices through robust testing, monitoring, and recording procedures.
  • Customer Focus: Prioritise alignment with customer quality standards.
  • Testing and Development: Oversee the development and implementation of extensive testing procedures.
  • Investigations and Corrective Actions: Conduct investigations, root cause analyses, and implement Corrective Actions (CARs) in response to customer complaints.
  • Communication: Communicate and update relevant stakeholders on quality control issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Quality Management, or related).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or management role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of legislative requirements, including Safe-Food Queensland, SQF, HACCP, and Food Standards Australia. Familiarity with quality control protocols, documentation, and traceability practices.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
