Quantum Sensor Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum sensing technology. Our team is dedicated to harnessing the power of quantum control to overcome the challenges facing this emerging field, thereby improving hardware performance and accelerating the development of practical applications.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software applications used in our quantum sensors and auxiliary hardware. You will work closely with our research scientists to produce robust and computationally efficient implementations suitable for deployment on mobile platforms operating in real-world environments.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing software applications used in our quantum sensors and auxiliary hardware.
  • Implementing and testing software applications employed in the optimization of next-generation quantum sensing, navigation, and map-matching technology.
  • Integrating our quantum sensing solutions with our cloud services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve novel issues in research and development and product-focused environments.
  • Participating in critical quantum sensing field trials with key industry partners.
  • Owning and improving continuous integration systems and software testing infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience working in a research environment while collaborating with established engineering teams and research scientists.
  • Experience in writing numerical software or algorithm development, with an emphasis on inertial navigation, state estimation, data fusion, or optimization.
  • Proficiency with a systems programming language such as C, C++, or Rust.
  • Proficiency in using Python tools and packages for data processing.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining continuous integration systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving software development best practices in engineering teams.
