Job Overview

Alfabs Group is a long-established and highly regarded provider of turnkey solutions across various sectors.

We're seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our mining equipment division in Unanderra. This role oversees people, safety, and performance in a dynamic workshop environment.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of skilled tradespeople
  • Reporting on workshop performance and cost control
  • Driving a strong safety culture through SWMS, pre-starts, and toolbox talks
  • Overseeing fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance across diesel-powered mining equipment
  • Managing planned maintenance programs, refurbishments, and component replacement
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in workshop operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment
  • Solid budgeting and cost management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft suite
  • A proactive, accountable, and safety-first mindset
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
