Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced healthcare administrative assistant to join our team. As the primary point of contact for patients, doctors, and allied health providers, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients and handling phone calls with a positive and friendly demeanor
  • Managing switchboard duties and ensuring efficient communication between staff members
  • Booking appointments and entering patient data accurately and efficiently
  • Generating invoices and receiving payments in a timely manner
  • Processing Medicare claims and maintaining accurate records
  • Handling incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail with attention to detail
  • Maintaining doctor's bookings and schedules with minimal errors
  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding promptly to team member requests

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar healthcare administrative position
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Best Practice Software or equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional phone manner and communication skills
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
