Strategic Cost Management Specialist Role

This strategic cost management specialist role contributes to the successful delivery of programs and projects through support of project controls, scheduling, and performance reporting.

About the Position

The project controls team is responsible for guiding the delivery of programs and projects, including strategic and operational support. This includes scheduling, reporting, risk management, and document management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis
  • Support the LAND 400-2 project within the Project Management Office (PMO) team
  • Provide expertise on the use of Cobra and Open Plan Professional (OPP)
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of ASDEFCON reporting requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 5 years' experience in cost control, scheduling, project controls, and/or performance reporting
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Cobra
  • Strong experience and understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience using scheduling software including Open Plan Professional (OPP)
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
