Financial Reporting Analyst

Our organization is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to provide critical financial analysis, reporting, and strategic guidance to support informed decision-making processes within the department.

  • Generate accurate monthly management reports and financial data for budget monitoring, including variance analysis for stakeholders.
  • Review, post journals, and investigate errors in SAP and Business Warehouse systems.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders through regular meetings to address financial issues.
  • Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and financial modeling, identifying implications and supporting the annual Estimates process.
  • Monitor compliance with Government financial legislation and departmental policies for asset capitalization.
  • Enhance finance functions by reviewing and refining systems, procedures, and reporting methods using SAP and Business Warehouse.
  • Offer expert advice on project accounting and asset management.
  • Ensure adherence to Government financial legislation and departmental policies for financial reporting and operational matters.

The ideal candidate for this role should have demonstrated experience in cost centre accounting, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thorough knowledge of legislation and policies relating to financial and operational issues, and ability to provide advice, guidance, and training to the team.
