Lead Financial Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Lead Financial Strategist to strengthen month-end reporting processes while providing strategic support through close business partnering. Reporting to the Financial Controller and collaborating with the General Manager of a key business unit, this role will deliver end-to-end financial reporting ownership while driving insights that inform commercial performance and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the month-end close process including journals, reconciliations, and reporting packs
  • Develop accurate and timely financial reports including P&L, variance analysis, and commentary
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with operational goals
  • Collaborate with the GM and site leaders to support business performance and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to inform key business initiatives
  • Support stock and cost management through financial insight and reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, processes, and internal controls
Requirements:
  • CA or CPA qualified with at least 5 years of experience in financial or management accounting
  • Experience within manufacturing, construction, or a product-based business is preferred
  • Strong technical skills in month-end, reporting, and compliance
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to influence and support non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system capability
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and improvement-focused mindset
