Defect Manager Position

This role involves managing defects in large Agile programs and ensuring timely identification, prioritization, resolution, and closure.

  • Lead end-to-end defect management across multiple Agile squads.
  • Drive daily triage sessions with cross-functional teams to assess impact, severity, and ownership of issues.
  • Monitor defect trends and conduct root cause analysis to uncover recurring issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading defect management processes to ensure timely resolution and closure of defects.
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address defects.
  3. Providing guidance on defect prevention strategies and implementing quality gates during sprints.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in defect/test management roles within large Agile programs.
  • Deep understanding of defect metrics (severity, priority, fix rate, reopen rate) and their implications on delivery risk.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive collaborative problem-solving and issue resolution.
