Engineering Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and chartered civil engineer to lead our engineering services team in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. This key leadership role offers a unique chance to make a lasting impact on the community through strategic asset management planning, overseeing capital works programs, and ensuring engineering excellence in project delivery.

About The Role
  • This position involves leading a professional engineering team to deliver infrastructure projects, acting as the asset owner for multiple asset classes, and managing the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, CPEng status with Engineers Australia, and demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs. Strong leadership skills, extensive project management experience, and budgetary and contractual oversight are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  1. Leading, mentoring, and managing the Engineering Services team
  2. Acting as the asset owner for multiple asset classes and ensuring compliance with relevant asset management policies, strategies, and plans
  3. Managing the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems
  4. Overseeing complex civil infrastructure designs and providing authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community

Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams
  • Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight
