Lead Chemist in Marine Science

About the Position

This role requires you to perform sophisticated laboratory analyses of key water parameters including nutrients, dissolved oxygen, and salinity. You will operate according to established procedures while maintaining high-quality instrumentation and collaborating with the research team. The position also demands participation in coastal fieldwork, extended voyages, and sample collection with onboard analysis.

Key Responsibilities include: Performing routine and complex laboratory analyses; Identifying and resolving issues through creative problem-solving; Supervising team members, managing resources, directing tasks, and providing on-the-job training as required.

Requirements:

Relevant bachelor's degree and demonstrated prior experience in related fields such as Chemistry or Environmental Science, with an emphasis on Analytical Chemistry. Ability to travel extensively for periods up to 85 days annually is also necessary.
