Role Overview

The Community Mental Health Engagement Worker will contribute to enhancing outcomes for consumers and their families/carers by facilitating access to mental health services, providing information to improve service utilization, and enabling clinicians to focus on therapeutic work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Navigate mental health services to support consumers and their families/carers.
  • Provide information to enhance access to other services.
  • Enable clinicians to concentrate on therapeutic work.
Requirements
  • Recent graduate from a relevant health degree with relevant registration.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in Mental Health.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of Recovery Oriented practice in Mental Health Care.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
