Job Overview

This is a 12-month structured pathway to extend your nursing knowledge in the specialist area of mental health nursing and prepare for ongoing employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care within the scope of an enrolled nurse's practice
  • Engage in structured learning programs to become a specialist mental health enrolled nurse
  • Participate in a tailored mental health nurse education program facilitated by RMH MHS
  • Work in multidisciplinary clinical team settings
  • Perform nursing interventions and procedures according to hospital policy and procedures
  • Contribute to care planning, implementation, and evaluation with the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain an understanding of individual responsibility for consumer safety, quality, and risk
  • Promote a friendly, respectful, and supportive environment within the department and organization
About You

Applicants must have experience working as an enrolled nurse in acute healthcare, subacute, or aged care or be a recently qualified EN motivated to transition to mental health nursing.
