Technical Leadership

The Deputy Chief Engineer provides technical leadership across multiple product teams, supporting the delivery of secure and reliable systems.

The role bridges engineering execution and strategic oversight, with responsibility for cyber security operations, test and evaluation, and architectural guidance.

Duties
  1. Provide architectural and design guidance across a suite of ICT products
  2. Lead cyber security and test & evaluation functions
  3. Support DevSecOps practices and release processes
  4. Mentor junior engineers in areas such as virtualisation, containerisation, and secure development
  5. Investigate technical incidents and emerging technologies, providing advice to senior leadership
  6. Review and approve product designs in line with assurance frameworks
  7. Contribute to documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
