Location: Mount Gambier
We are seeking a skilled Waterjet Cutter Operator to join our Engineering and Fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a waterjet cutter to cut plate steel structures for a future wood processing mill project in Mount Gambier.
About the RoleThe Waterjet Cutter Operator will be responsible for:
- Programming and operating the waterjet cutter to cut plate steel structures to plan specifications.
- Performing pre and post checks to ensure the waterjet cutter is properly maintained.
- Nesting plates into the nesting software provided.
- Operating a forklift (LF) and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
- Working with the team to ensure that work is completed in line with schedules.
- Assisting with welding and other tasks within the business as needed.
- Rolling cut plates to required specifications.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards, tools, and equipment.
We are looking for a candidate with a background in metal working or manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is comfortable learning new skills and brings strong attention to detail in all their work.
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, and drug and alcohol testing.
