Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.
We are currently seeking Waterjet Cutter Operators / Trade Assistants to join Engineering and Fabrication team working on the manufacture of large plate steel structures for the future wood processing mill at our Construction Site in Mount Gambier. The role is a permanent full time position.
The Role
Currently, we have an opportunity available for a Waterjet Cutter Operator/ Fabricator to join our team. If you are someone with a metal trade or metal working background looking to learn something new – this could be the role for you
Responsibilities include:
Program and operate machine to cut to plan specifications.Undertake pre and post checks to ensure the water jet cutter is properly maintained.
Nesting plates into the nesting software provided
Operate forklift (LF) and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
Work with the team to ensure that work is completed in line with schedules.
Assist with welding and other tasks within the business as needed.
Rolling cut plates to required specifications
Maintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipment
