Agricultural Meat Inspector

This role involves working with a strong background in agriculture, ensuring high-quality meat products are produced and safely handled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting animal carcasses, internal organs, and meat processing facilities to prevent disease outbreaks
- Analyzing production data to establish and maintain quality standards
- Detecting pathogenic micro-organisms, insects, parasites, fungi, and weeds that can harm crops and livestock
- Developing effective methods of control and prevention
In addition to the above responsibilities, this occupation also involves operating machinery to grind, mix, mince, and tenderize meat, removing bones, cutting, mincing, and grinding meat, as well as maintaining good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Education and Experience RequirementsTo be eligible for this role, applicants must possess at least a Diploma in Agriculture, Inspection, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in the agricultural sector, meat processing, or equivalent. Strong communication skills are also essential.
Additional Requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Agriculture, Meat Processing, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to operate machinery to grind, mix, mince, and tenderize meat
