Job Title: API Counsellor">

Counsellors provide psychological interventions to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including CALD and ATSI communities. Your work will focus on supporting clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges, family violence, homelessness, and more.

  • Conduct intake assessments and deliver short to medium-term counselling services.
  • Provide therapy through formats including face-to-face, phone, and online sessions.
  • Plan and implement follow-up strategies, including referrals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve client-focused outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and meet performance targets.
">Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with AHPRA or AASW membership.
  • Proven expertise in mental health assessments and treatment, including trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and case management abilities.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and working with diverse populations.
