Job Description

Golding is a successful mining and civil infrastructure project management services business with operations across Queensland and South Australia.

We deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions, working closely with clients to create value through our expertise.

Due to internal structural changes, we have an opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our team in Brisbane. We offer flexible working conditions allowing you to work from home and in our office. Regular travel to project sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide advice and support to frontline leaders on general HR/IR matters, including issue resolution, performance management, and employee development;
  • Support the Specialist HR Advisor by preparing employment contracts and internal employee correspondence as needed;
  • Conduct and/or assist with effective workplace investigations in relation to people complaints or other matters;
  • Deliver training to leaders and personnel on various HR and IR topics;
  • Support your Manager and Specialist HR Advisors in executing HR/IR strategies across Golding, including researching and negotiating enterprise agreements;
  • Collect and analyze key HR data and information, advising your Manager of your assessment, including trends and recommending improvements;
  • Participate in HR audits and other governance activities;
  • Perform HR administration tasks, including controlling HR records, updating HR registers, and labor hire vendor documentation;
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and recommend initiatives to enhance the Golding system;
  • Develop effective relationships with leaders at all levels of the business and external stakeholders as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree-level qualification in Human Resources or a related field;
  • Experience in a similar role within the mining and civil construction industry is highly preferred;
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and contemporary HR/IR policies and processes is highly desirable;
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships across the business;
  • Demonstrated 'hands-on' approach and high attention to detail is essential;
  • Solutions-focused with strong influencing skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
