Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others?

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Financial Counsellor to join our team.

This is a fixed-term part-time position, 22.8 hours per week located in Batemans Bay, NSW.

The role will involve providing holistic financial counselling and advocacy services to individuals in financial difficulty or crisis, as well as conducting group community education sessions to help people build longer-term capability and make informed choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial counselling and advocacy services to individuals in financial difficulty or crisis
  • Conduct group community education sessions to help people build longer-term capability and make informed choices
  • Operate the local Moneycare practice with autonomy but within policy and procedure

Requirements:

  • 12+ months of experience in a relevant field
  • Accreditation as a Financial Counsellor or be willing to attain accreditation as soon as possible
  • Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) or be willing to undertake study from outset
  • Degree qualifications or extensive experience in the fields of welfare, finance, community services, psychology or business fields
  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check NSW/Working with Children's Check Blue Card QLD
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police check
