Position Summary

The Property Management Assistant is a key role in the progression to a Property Manager position. A key challenge in this role is effective time management and prioritising tasks and workload to complete multiple tasks in a given day. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and documentation of activities undertaken. The property management assistant will need to follow direction from the property manager, senior property manager, and business development manager (Client Services Manager) to perform duties with care while following office procedure and routines.

Key Requirements
  • Current Real Estate Certificate of Registration, or willingness to obtain
  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • Own Vehicle
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining the rent roll and integrating new properties into the business
  • Coordinate with the property manager, senior property manager, and client services manager to ensure high-quality services are consistently provided to owners and tenants in property management
  • Ensure properties are maintained in accordance with the owner's instructions under the direction of supervising staff
  • Maintain all required records, including leases, MAA ingoing/outgoing condition reports, etc.
  • Arrange advertising on the internet as required
  • Handle maintenance issues, including obtaining quotes and confirming jobs with tradespeople, liaising with SPM regarding property repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with tenant selection
  • Provide property information and assistance to tenants as requested
