Junior Payroll Officer

This position is an opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our payroll team as a Junior Payroll Officer.
- The successful candidate will report directly to the Payroll Manager and be responsible for assisting in the processing of weekly pays for 2,500 employees.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in payroll processing, employee records management, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Updating and maintaining accurate and complete employee records.
- Assisting with onboarding new starters and ensuring their files are up-to-date.
- Processing terminations, redundancies, and leave in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Responding to employee queries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Interpreting awards and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Handling payroll inquiries and resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
- A strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
