As a seasoned Business Development professional, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the retail and wholesale financial advice channels.

The role involves building and driving growth in global equity and credit strategies across NSW/ACT, leveraging your expertise to identify new business opportunities and contribute to shaping market positioning through industry trend analysis.

You will also play a key role in business planning and strategy development, providing quarterly updates to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed financial targets in designated market segments.
  • Develop and implement regional engagement plans to enhance brand relevance and showcase unique capabilities.
  • Actively identify new business opportunities through conferences, networking events, and social media engagement.
  • Contribute to shaping company market positioning by analyzing industry trends and dynamics.
  • Play a key role in business planning and strategy development, providing quarterly updates to senior leadership.
  • Use CRM tools to track client data, opportunities, and requests, ensuring efficient management and reporting.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of Australian retail and advice markets, including key industry trends and regulatory developments.
  • Proven experience within Australian retail advice channels, with demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships.
  • Established network of key decision-makers within Australian IFA market is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence at senior levels through compelling presentations.
  • Solid understanding of Australian asset management market and financial services regulations, with ability to operate within risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and using media channels for promotion.
  • Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (Business, Finance, or related field) and RG146 qualification are essential.
  • Alignment with company values and culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strategic thinker with conceptual approach.
