Director Opportunity in a Thriving Childcare Centre

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Director to lead a brand new childcare centre in Picton, Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering strong relationships with families and the community.
About the Centre
The 71-place centre is designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children. With its picturesque setting and beautiful big windows, it offers plenty of natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
About the Role
The Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children, hiring and training staff members, creating and implementing curriculum and educational programs, and maintaining communication with parents and families. The role also involves managing budgets and financial resources, maintaining licensing and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with community organisations and partners.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Excellent organisational and management skills
- Experience in developing quality improvement plans, fee charging, enrolments of children (or willingness to learn)
- Strong understanding and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with staff, parents, and children, as well as actively listen to concerns and feedback
- Knowledge of financial management principles, including creating and managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and ensuring financial sustainability
- Previous Director experience is highly desirable
