Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Manager to lead our English Language Instruction (ELI) department. This is a senior academic role that involves managing and implementing General English curriculum, course reviews, and assessment validations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of high-quality academic programs to international students, overseeing facilities and resources, conducting formative and summative assessments, reviewing and updating academic policies and procedures, and contributing to the management structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement General English curriculum, course reviews, and assessment validations.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality academic programs to international students.
  • Oversee facilities and resources catalogue, making updates as needed and ensuring sufficient materials for teaching, in-class, and self-study.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments according to the curriculum and syllabus.
  • Review, update, and implement College's academic policies, procedures, and courses.
  • Contribute to the management structure, including policy and strategic planning and development.
  • Lead the ELI academic department and student support, effectively utilizing and integrating college resources.
  • Carry out placement tests.
  • Deliver classes when required.
  • Monitor students' course progress and intervene timely to assist students in completing studies satisfactorily, reporting to management on any issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate TESOL qualification (Grad.Dip., Grad.Cert., Masters)
  • Experience in managing and/or teaching ELT
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of National Code 2018 and ELICOS Standards 2018
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
