Leadership Opportunity in Teaching and Learning

A comprehensive secondary school seeks a dedicated academic leader to drive teaching and learning excellence across Human Society and Environment (HSIE) and History-General Program of Studies (HGPE) programs.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate staff, fostering a culture of high expectations, teamwork, positive relationships, and staff wellbeing.

  • Develop innovative and explicit teaching and learning programs that engage and meet the needs of all students.
  • Build staff capability through mentoring and targeted professional learning, driving implementation of strategic directions to improve outcomes for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to develop and lead whole school initiatives, driving continuous improvement in educational outcomes.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong track record of academic leadership, including experience in teaching and learning innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • A deep understanding of curriculum design and pedagogy, with the ability to translate this into effective teaching practices.
