Workplace Relations Advisor

The Workplace Relations Advisor will play a pivotal role in HR functions, working in a permanent capacity with opportunities for career advancement, based in northern Sydney. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of the organisation.

This is an integral part of the HR team's complex and sensitive compliance issues:

  • Collaborate with the legal team and advisors to address industrial matters.
  • Participate in enterprise agreement EA negotiations when necessary.
  • Conduct investigations into grievances, underperformance, and disciplinary issues.
  • Advise managers on award interpretation, policies, and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare workplace relations documentation.

In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have experience working in employment relations or industrial relations. Experience in the transport sector will also be advantageous. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and in a team. You will also be able to manage multiple demands across the stakeholder base.

You will possess a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation. A current Australian driving licence issued by the relevant state is required.
