Job Title: Meat Industry Expert

The role of the Mintrac Assessor is pivotal in providing expert advice to management teams on meat industry standards. This encompasses conducting skill assessments across all markets, and evaluating worker competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance to management teams on meat industry standards.
  • Utilize professional connections within the meat industry to identify skilled workers.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments in line with Mintrac guidelines and industry standards.
  • Evaluate and document the competency of workers in various roles within the meat processing industry.
  • Offer detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement to workers and management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments and evaluations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs to stay current with industry practices.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to uphold the highest standards of assessment and training.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Mintrac Assessor or equivalent qualification.
  • Substantial experience in the meat processing industry.
  • A deep understanding of assessment principles and practices specific to the meat processing industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using assessment tools and software relevant to the industry.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar assessor role within the meat processing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of current industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all assessments.
