Design Draftsperson Job Description

As a skilled Design Draftsperson, you will play a pivotal role in the conception and development of mechanical sampling systems and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare engineering calculations, concept designs, 3D modelling, general arrangements, and detailed designs, including minor structural work.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design and will possess strong engineering skills. They will be proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor and will be able to effectively liaise with clients and suppliers regarding drawing issues and ensure that all designs meet project and industry standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to innovative mechanical sampling projects while working within a skilled and collaborative technical team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Strong experience in engineering design and calculations
  • Evidence of tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade qualification
  • Draftsperson experience in mechanical or industrial projects
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills
