Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Mackay team due to business growth. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years' experience working on construction projects within the mining, marine, and transport infrastructure sectors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for undertaking structural design calculations, performing computer-based analysis, and working on critical projects with a focus on safety and quality. They will act as client contact for specific projects and collaborate with staff members in other offices.

  • Other tasks as allocated by senior staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering;
  • At least 8 years' industry experience;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in using structural analysis software packages such as SpaceGas and Strand7;
  • Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management, and project delivery;
  • Understanding and/or experience on major construction projects;
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Current residency in Australia and unrestricted working rights;
  • Fluent written and spoken English to a professional level;
  • Experience in working with marine, mobile machines, bulk materials handling, or shafts/tunnel assets;
  • Sound knowledge or experience with Cathodic Protection design and durability engineering.
