Conservation Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Conservation Professional to join our team in protecting the environment and heritage of NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the conservation of natural environments, flora, fauna, and Aboriginal heritage. You will work closely with senior staff to support the maintenance and improvement of park assets across Greater Sydney.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safely carrying out routine maintenance tasks such as pest and weed control, asset construction, conservation works, fire management, visitor enquiries, and compliance activities.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress against key performance indicators.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal people, government organisations, and communities.
  • Knowledge and respect for Aboriginal cultural issues.
  • A current Australian Driver's licence or equivalent and ability to drive 4wd vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to carry out all duties safely and obtain relevant SafeWork NSW certification.

Additional requirements include certification in operating a chainsaw to crosscut standard, ability to operate two-way radio, and willingness to fly in light aircraft.
