About the Opportunity

The Sustainability & Risk Manager will lead our sustainability, operational standards & governance agenda for our owned operations.

  • Own our sustainability strategy delivery & ensure key priority initiatives are built for success. Drive our organization's commitment to environmental stewardship and risk management.
  • Ownership of internal & external standards, governance framework and accreditation agenda. Foster a culture of excellence and accountability throughout our operations.
  • Ensuring our operational standards are kept in line with industry benchmarks & delivering on our legal and corporate requirements. Maintain a proactive approach to compliance and regulatory affairs.
  • Expert/SME support - the team supports our wineries & bottling sites on troubleshooting & incidents, including crisis management leadership with stakeholders. Provide timely and effective guidance to address emerging issues.
  • Reporting & Monitoring - establishes and maintains internal processes & systems that can provide reliable information from our sites & suppliers to meet agreed stakeholder and mandatory reporting obligations. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to inform business decisions.
  • Regulatory Compliance - keeps abreast of the changing landscape our businesses are operating in. Ensure that management and our site processes are meeting our requirements & we are maintaining a positive working relationship with compliance agencies & industry groups.
  • Work with our leadership team & site management team on an annual plan that ensures our businesses are regularly reviewing their risk profile and building appropriate risk reduction strategies. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assist our sourcing, procurement & acquisitions teams with evaluation of new suppliers, vineyards & businesses from an environmental & risk perspective. Apply your expertise to drive sustainable growth and minimize risk.
  • Supports investment & proactive programs to improve environmental performance. Develop and implement initiatives to reduce our ecological footprint and promote environmentally responsible practices.
